Police call on fire service’s drone unit to help find missing woman in Moor Park




Police have been out on Moor Park during Wednesday evening searching for a vulnerable woman.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service’s drone team were brought in to assist.

Throughout Wednesday evening a large police presence were out looking for the woman.

No missing person’s appeal had been issued in relation to the search.

Chris Rainford from the drone squad said: “We’ve been assisting Lancashire Police tonight in locating a vulnerable person in Preston.

“Brilliant team work and great result.”

Ventura Police Arrest Moorpark Man For Attempted Arson, Murder

  MOORPARK (CBSLA) –  Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputies on Friday arrested a man for attempted murder and arson in Moorpark on Moonsong Court. The incident was reported early on Friday, at around 10 a.m., when authorities found a man, Shaka Watkins, attempting to light a residence on the street on fire. Two victims were involved in the incident, both of whom are related to Watkins. An altercation broke out between the two males involved in the incident, with Watkins injured the other man enough to require medial treatment at a local medical facility.According to reports, which identify Watkins as a transient, he had poured a significant amount of gasoline on a vehicle outside the home, the front door and the garage door. He is currently being held at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility with a bail set at $1.5 million. Police shut down illegal lock-in at Moor Park pub

  Police shut down an illegal lock in at the Moor Park pub in Garstang Road this afternoon (June 19). Officers visited the pub and found around 30 people drinking in the back room of the boozer. Sgt Horton, of Preston Police’s Licensing Team, said: “Social distancing was not being observed by anybody in there. “They’re all heading home with no idea what they may or may not have picked up for the sake of a pint. “They all left quietly on request and the Premises Supervisor was issued with a Prohibition Notice under the Coronavirus Regulations. “We will be asking Preston City Council to review their licence and there is a real possibility that the pub will lose its licence as a result of this. “It may seem tempting to join in when you hear that a pub is open but the truth is, no pubs should be open yet. “There are some government indications that some pubs and bars may open on July 4th.
