Asbury Park shooting: Three victims, followed by another shooting hours later

Orange evidence marks remain the following morning outside the scene of a reported shooting Tuesday night, November 24, 2020, at 1516 Bangs Avenue in Asbury Park.

ASBURY PARK - Three male victims of a shooting on Bangs Avenue in the city Tuesday night suffered severe but not life-threatening injuries, a spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.

The shooting at Bangs near Ridge Avenue happened around 6 p.m., Chris Swendeman of the prosecutor's office said. He did not offer a motive.

Shots were fired a few blocks away on Church Street a little less than four hours later, he said. No injuries were reported.

"It's alarming and it's disappointing," Asbury Park Mayor John Moor said before referring the call to the prosecutor's office.
